Musing over Co-Creation

A colleague of mine recently introduced me to Myron's Maxims. Their simplicity and yet their applicability to how we approach our work is what makes them particularly powerful.

Recently I have been thinking about how we might approach a piece of work on redesigning some office based systems. Whilst not overly complicated the frustration around the current systems is notable and the desire to improve high.

We are going to use the Maxim principles in 'kicking off' this piece of work. Co-creation, testing in the 'real world' and letting people who do the work follow the change. Who knows where it might lead but we are all ready to give it a go.

Myron’s maxims provide a simple way of working with a living system. People own what they create Real change takes place in real work The people who do the work do the change Start anywhere but follow it everywhere Keep connecting the system to more of itself
