The Next Conversation

On Tuesday 28 June it's time for The Next Conversation! 

The Next Conversation will be taking place on Twitter – to get involved, look out for tweets from @HorizonsNHS #SolvingTogether #ImprovingTogether. We know not everyone is on Twitter, so we’ll also have a Teams call open. More information is available here

We have some amazing sessions lined up throughout the day from 9am - 5pm, where we'll see topics from the Big Conversation and beyond host a Twitter takeover of the
@HorizonsNHS account.

We should treat any digital/technological transformation as a human transformation. Get the human part right (managing the cultural & organisational challenges that a technological shift creates) & the technology will take care of itself. Read more.

Strategies for managing difficult emotions at work: 1)  Emotion at work can be productive; 2) Different levels of comfort with uncertainty; 3) Understand the cause of burnout; 4) Focus on the org not the individual; 5) Get curious. Read more.  


Researchers looking at how extroverts (Es) are perceived by others at work thought they'd find that Es are regarded as good listeners as Es are "socially capable". In fact, Es were often seen by others as self-focused & needing to listen/pay more attention. Read more.


Intent-based leadership is an approach to leadership based on creating an environment where everyone can do their best work, is encouraged to contribute their ideas & feel valued & safe in doing so. Here are some of the principles from @Ruski77. Read more.
