Virtual Collaborate

We’ve come across some useful tips with @Outlook that we like to share across @HorizonsNHS - especially when they save us time and make virtual work so much better. We're excited to share them with you too! Here we share how to change the default settings for text size on emails.

There's often a tension between productivity (working as hard as possible to deliver with the existing systems) & creativity (finding new, better ways to work). We have to value creativity & make the time/space for people to share, learn & experiment together in order to progress. Click here to find our more.

This is a fantastic thread on psychological safety posted by @purdy_eve who is a Canadian emergency doctor based in Australia. It's full of practical insights & ideas on how we can make things better & safer for our teams & for the people who use our services. Thank you @AmyCEdmondson.

And here is @purdy_eve's infographic on better team performance in emergency medicine, based on principles of psychological safety. The principles are relevant to teams in any clinical setting & beyond.

As we all were, Helen was shocked to hear of the murder of MP David Amess, the second Member of the UK Parliament to be murdered in the past five years, following Jo Cox. She thought this graphic by @sherrillknezel was apt.



This way of thinking should underpin all our improvement work. We start by asking great questions, & finding out. We test & try out solutions in a spirit of experimentation & learning & we use data to reflect on our changes, ready for the next cycle. Great graphic by @grantdraws
